School Owner/Director

CAROL KAUFMAN RILEY graduate of this school and former Radio City Music Hall Rockette, as well as performer in musical productions regionally. Her credits as a choreographer include MTV video, and local community theater productions. As a teacher of physically, mentally challenged, and gifted students, she taught for the N.Y.C. Board of Education, and at the Kaliski Country Day School, and Montessori on the Park. Her professional memberships include Lifetime Member of The Dance Educators of America and American Guild of Variety Artists. Recipient of a Proclamation from the town of North Hempstead for years of superior dance education.   As a dedicated teacher and director, her continuing goal for the past forty years has been to bring a strong knowledge and love of dance and fitness to all of the students in this school.

Founder
HANNAH KRONER studied and performed in Europe and the U.S. As a lifetime member of Dance Educators of America, she taught at their conventions and teacher training school. In the school she founded in 1947, many of her students have gone on to professional careers in dance, theater, TV, and teaching, which have established her nationally as a teacher’s teacher in the dance profession.

 Staff:
Loretta Galante: Dance Teacher and morning receptionist in our school. Performed and choreographed in Queens and throughout Long Island including the Herrick’s Community Players.

Heather Blake: Graduate of our School, & Masters Degree in Teaching Special Ed. Dance Teacher & Competition team at HK school.

Danielle Kenouryiakis: Graduate of our School. BA in Theatre Arts at Queens College. Choreographer & performer for regional theatres. Helped develop competition team in our school.

Paige Ketsoglou- is a graduate of our school and began her dance studies at Hannah Kroner School at age 2. Paige received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance at LIU Post and has also graduated from the Broadway Dance Center training program. Besides teaching for our school, she is a substitute teacher at BDC and Peri Dance. Currently she is performing with the Jazzroots Dance Company and is a dancer for Trademark Talent NY.

Shannon McGuinness-is a graduate of our school and began teaching at Hannah Kroner School from the age of 17. Shannon co-directs the HKSD company competition team, and is choreographer for Mini’s, Juniors and Soloist. She makes her winning Hip Hop routines fun and energetic.  She extended her studies in dance in various classes, including Modern and African dance at the University of Maryland at Baltimore County. She has also studied classes from master teachers and choreographers including Mia Micheals, Mandy Moore, Greg Russel, Denise Wall, Anthony Morigerato, and Luigi Faccuito.

Ruth Redovian-started teaching dance at 17 years old. She attended Adelphi University as an Elementary Education major with a minor in dance, received her Master’s degree in Special Education. Ruth has been a dedicated teacher at Hannah Kroner School of Dance for 35 years and has initiated multiple programs including our Tot/Mom, Tots Two and Summer Camp Dance Arts. She has extended her dance education through DTS in NYC, taking masters classes in dance in a wide range of styles.

Regina Sachelari: Dance Teacher in our school for over 12 years. Expanded Dance program in our special education for children & adults.

Samantha Witt: Earned a BFA in Dance with a concentration in Jazz Performance from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She has toured nationally and internationally with various companies. She has also taught throughout the NY and Pennsylvania areas.

Sharon Wendrow: performed in Corps de Ballet at Radio City Music Hall, choreographer of musicals, and director of her own school in Queens. As staff member, she has developed the Musical Theater program and Stretch Pilates.

Co-Founder

EVELYN SUMMER is a graduate and co-founder of the school. As a N.Y.S certified teacher and lifetime Dance Educators of America member, she has developed many programs in this school. Her love and compassion for all students have inspired many to pursue dance and teaching goals.

Susan Agin: Managing and artistic director for Queensboro Community College Performing Arts Center.

Doreen Alderman: performed on Broadway in 42nd Street, founded own dance studio in Ca.

Nancy Baron: TV, Broadway performer, developed program for developmentally challenged children and adults.

Elena Commendador: danced with the Alvin Ailey Company, currently teacher and administrator for their school.

Andrea Green: performed on Broadway, national tours, and at Lincoln Center, is a vocal coach for Broadway performers.

JoAnne Greenbaum: teaches critical thinking at Ca. State University, Fullerton.

Judy Jablon: an educator and published author of books for teachers and administrators.

Robert Spiotto: Artistic director for community arts programs and producer of special events for Hofstra University Cultural Center.
